話が後先しますが、オフセットインキの主成分は［顔料20％］［ビヒクル70％］［添加物10％］です。ビヒクルとは、顔料（絵の具）を混ぜる液状成分のことで、
①合成樹脂（プラスチック）②植物油（従来は亜麻仁油や桐油）③溶剤（従来は石油系）で構成されています。大豆油インキは②の植物油と③の溶剤に大豆油が使われています。ビヒクルすべて大豆油にできないの?と思いますが、大きな壁がありました。理由は速乾性です。印刷インキは早く乾かないと仕事になりません。油分の吸収性が低い紙ほど大豆油が少なくなり、合成樹脂が多くなります。だから、新聞の黒インキは大豆油の含有量が調合インキ全重量の40％以上、カタログなど印刷する枚葉紙インキは20％以上とダウンするんですね。合成樹脂（プラスチック）も石油から作られたものです。石油といえばガソリンばかりを考えていましたが、印刷においても切っても切れない関係にあるってことがわかりました。
今日は提出の書類づくりが遅れているので休日出勤です。主人は久々にお休みなので、愛犬のトリミングに連れて行ってくれるそうです。出がけに『台風の名前はカトリーナとかリタで、どうして「鈴木」とか「佐藤」はないの？』って息子に聞かれ、「そうねェ〜アメリカの女性の名前らしいけどママもよく解らないよ」と言い残してきた手前、ちょっと調べてみました。平成12年から、日本も加盟している北西太平洋領域で発生した台風には、あらかじめ用意された140個の動植物や自然現象に関する名前を発生順に使っているそうです。でも、日本では以前として17号とか番号で呼んでいます。アメリカではハリケーンの名前になることを名誉と感じる女性が多いらしいのですが、日本では「幸子が大きな被害をもたらしました！」と言われても嬉しくないしだろうし・・・
